Can you write this letter for me?

Posted by nssbm117 on Sat, 04/14/2007 - 23:58Wordsmiths

If you go to Yahoo!'s download page, you will see that that they have a
version of IE 7 that they optimized to have faster access  to Yahoo!
services. So my idea was to write a letter to Yahoo! to persuade them
into make an optimized version of Firefox for their services. Since
millions of people use Yahoo! it would be a great way to advertise
Firefox! If someone has spare time on their hands do they mind posting
the letter in this thread? It would be greatly appreciated.

Firefoxing

Hi everyone. I have been here for some weeks, but I have not shared my "switch story". So, let me tell you how it all began. As many of us, I had been on the dark for many years. I only knew IE, and its errors, low security and "no-tabs" (yes, I like to create nouns... anyways). Howevere, some day, I found one guy who showed me "the light" (yes, Firefox). Of course, when you are for a long time in the darkness your eyes tend to be hurt with light, so I did not accept the change for about one or two months. After that time, I finally accepted Firefox, and you know, it has been the best sofware investment I have ever made (even through it is free). I love its tabs, its speed, its extensions and... huh... its firefox (in fact I am searching everywhere for a stuffed firefox).

I have been attached to the community since then, and I am doing my best to help the projects of this site. I hope this was not just a boring testimonial. Sfx!

Firefox benefits write-up

Posted by MadMonk on Wed, 02/08/2006 - 16:24Wordsmiths

Hello,

I work for a large corporation and have whined, complained, and hounded my management enought to allow me to run Firefox.  In exchange, they want me to write up an evaluation of the benefits and drawbacks associated with using the browser in my daily work.  I can handle the details as it pertains to my work, but does anyone know of a good (objective) analysis of  FireFox?  I need a starting point and a good format to use to submit this to an approval committee (don't ya just love corporate bureaucracy?).

Lil' help?  Anyone?

We want a very STRONG presence of SFX.

Could anybody point me to the contact person about marketing material, fliers, free cd's, banners, etc?

I'm not even sure if I'm in the right forum with this post..but I will say I'm liking this Firefox browser..very firendly indeed. So..where have I been one might wonder that it's taken me this long to give Firefox a try? Well let's just say I'm a tad lazy when it comes to making changes in my browsing habits..but IE was sending be round the bend truly it was. I actually owe them a big Gracias for being so amazingly frustrating it sent me in search of this fine browser.

Maybe they need to put a couple or ten
"Spread Firefox," decals on their main page. In hindsight..even if they do nothing..it will be advertizing enough.

Later people.

You get control
over your browser,
not vice versa.

what more do you want?
