usage of promotional buttons

I hope this is the right place to post questions regarding the usage of the nice promotional buttons:

Is there any licensing-document to detail the usage of the buttons?
In particular, is it allowed to:
1) copy the buttons on my own webspace (to save your bandwidth and my visitors' loading-time)
2) edit the buttons, e.g. to localize them (I suppose yes, as there are blank ones available)
3) use the buttons as links to other pages (such as "firefox-browser.de" which offers the german version of Firefox and is probably better suited for my visitors)

I would love to get a YES on all three items :-)

Hi,
The semi-official answer I can give is yes. To all three. Other people have done it and we do love the results it is giving so do all three! Post the results to the galleries and to you blog by all meens!

Oh, well, I braved the legal hazard of doing so quite some time ago already. Now I can finally sleep calmly again ;-)

I don't see why they would have any problem with it... the buttons were all made to promote, as long as you're not changing them around and claiming they're yours I'm sure they don't mind anyone hosting the buttons on their own servers.
