Yale University uses Firefox...

...on all of its 'cluster' and 'kiosk' PCs.

Thats 3 public clusters of about 20 machines each, plus 13 residential college clusters with 5 PCs in each. Kiosks are spread all around campus, so its kinda hard to count, but there are definitely over one hundred kiosks on campus.

Total: a good 250 university-run computers, possibly significantly more.

That would make a great sales pitch to other universities.

Any idea how someone got that on there? Pitt has kiosks, but i dont even think they change the software on a yearly basis, let alone change browsers

Its in the standard image for all those machines... We've been having a lot of trouble with Explorer exploits and such, so our IT guys decided to formally support the use of an alternative.
