Firefox button not working in email signature line at work

I tried adding a firefox button to my signature line on my work e-mail but it wouldn't work.  The pre-made firefox button is displayed in just plain text without the image.

I have IBM's "I-Notes" for my work email which is a watered down spin off of lotus notes.

I tell people about Firefox all the time and most people still havn't heard of it, so I try to share it with everyone but I would like for it to work on my email signature line.

Does anyone know why it does not work, or how I can fix it so that it will work?

I don't know about I-Notes, but I know in Microsoft lookOut people add graphical sigs all the time. Although I kind of wish they didn't. A text sig would probably be better as you could be sure it would show up on Blackberrys, web clients, and such that use plain text e-mail.

Most modern e-mail clients won't let you load images from remote web sites due to security reasons, but you might try opening the image in an editor like Paint, copying it to the clipboard and pasting it in to the message - that might make it an inline image. But keep in mind that could be filtered out or converted to an attachment when sent to people on the Internet.
