cant access net using firefox

i have downloaded the firefox 2.0.0.8

my firewall is switched off.

but still i cant access the net using firefox

but i can do that using internet explorer.

please help..

Check your IE proxy settings

In IE - Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections.

Depending on whether you are on dialup or broadband - either look at the properties of your dialup account or click Local Area Network settings.

Copy the settings.

In Firefox, go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network. Click Settings against the Select how Firefox connects to the internet.

Enter details as from IE.  If you run a local web server or on your LAN, enter these in the Bypass proxy server box.

Click OK
