Use Firefox.COM as marketing name
Most effective and free marketing idea? Give people an indication that it's a web browser, not a sci-fi movie or video game or whatever. In all marketing materials, use the name "Firefox.COM" instead of just "Firefox."
Don't think it can make much difference to product identity and recognition? Try this numbers game: Enter a Google search for "firefox.com" and it will bring up 230 thousand results, virtually all of them particular to the Firefox browser. Okay, now, enter a Google search of just "firefox" without the .com ending. It will bring up 214 MILLION (!!) results.
In other words, simply switching the marketing name to "Firefox.COM" will immediately distinguish the browser use from over 213 million unrelated uses of the Firefox name.
I'm sure this suggestion is not new. It makes no sense to me that it hasn't been adopted as a marketing improvement.
