The Extensions Mirror (TEM) is now Add-ons Mirror (AMI)

I'm a tester and moderator at The Extensions Mirror, a site close within the community that archives addons for Firefox and your other Mozilla products.  This change may be of concern to Spread Firefox members here and other users.

The Extensions Mirror is becoming the Add-ons Mirror.  Below is the original news posting from here.  We apologize for the what it seems to be, chronic downtime that has been going on recently, and for any inconvenience caused thereof.

Many of you have come to depend on The Extensions Mirror for extensions
and themes, both old and new. While many of our official listings are
still outdated, our goal is to bring ALL of them up to the latest
versions. Since our site has been going offline for extended periods of
time during the last few months, we wanted to inform our extension and
theme authors, and provide all Extensions Mirror users with an
explanation. The shared support we have with the current web hosting
company has been giving us nothing but problems. Finally, we found a
solution: dedicated hosting.

This site will be intermittently
down for restructuring and updates to our server and add-ons database.
We have made changes to our administrative and moderating staff, to the
site, to the server, and more improvements will follow. We have
accepted an offer of FREE web hosting on a dedicated server from
Sheppard. He has been reinstated to his former administrative position
and will once again be providing server-side support for us. Thank you,
Sheppard, for your generosity.

CHANGE OF NAME / CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP

The Extensions Mirror (TEM) will also be known as Add-ons Mirror (AMI).
"Add-ons" include more than just extensions, and TEM/AMI also handles
themes. In the future, we might also have sections for plug-ins and
search plug-ins.

Samir Boulema, the founder of TEM, is stepping
down and handing the reins over to Jane Ocean (Seamaiden). He will
continue to be part of the community but on a very limited basis.
Sheppard will be our webmaster and support tech. The hierarchy of
admins is as follows.

1) Seamaiden: Jane Ocean
2) Sheppard: John Sheppard
3) Sboulema: Samir Boulema

SERVER AND DOMAIN TRANSITION

This
web site will be offline starting Tuesday, May 29 at 12:00am Pacific
Daylight Time (PDT). It will take about a week to transition to the new
server and get the forum set up again. We will also be setting up a
wiki to complement our official add-on listings in the forum.

affected by the transition. We are redesigning these sites to make them
more attractive.

know that this transition has been taking a while... This is because
lack of time and lack of money. We reviewed several hosting companies
and plans before reaching this decision. Thank you for your patience
