Ok, I give!!  Can someone tell me what setting I use to allow PDF's to download through Firefox?  Everytime I need a PDF I have to open up Internet Explorer and go through there!  It's time for me to move on!!  Does anyone have any ideas?

 Thanks,

 Bluepowder

I know your pain man, i freaking hated having to open up IE every time....and wait for adobe to load on my already slow computer...so i got the PDF Download extension. It works like a charm, and if u just need to reed whats inside instead of downloading it, it has a option to view as html which really saves time.

 have any questins feel free to email me at

If you re-install Adobe Reader, it should detect Firefox and install a plugin that will let Firefox display PDFs

For follow-up questions, you'll probably get more help at the Mozillazine Forums

I use a process that downloads PDF's to my desktop rather than opening them in Firefox.

There are also extensions, but this way suits my needs.

Oops It looks like my info is from Fx 1.5.
Time to update that.
The proper path is;
Tools> Options> Content> Configure how Firefox handles certain types of files.
