Yahoo! Optimized

Posted by nssbm117 on Sat, 04/14/2007 - 02:16Firefox Marketing Ideas

If you go to Yahoo!'s download page, you will see that that they have a version of IE 7 that they optimized to have faster access  to Yahoo! services. So my idea was to write a letter to Yahoo! to persuade them into make an optimized version of Firefox for their services. Since millions of people use Yahoo! it would be a great way to advertise Firefox! If someone has spare time on their hands do they mind posting the letter in this thread? It would be greatly appreciated.

Just to help the writer, here are some addons that exist that can be added into the thing:

-Yahoo search can be set as the default search engine.
-Mention any of the extensions on the Yahoo! Addon page (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=yahoo&status=4)

How exactly have they "Optimized" IE for their content? If nothing else one would think they would want to make the same abilities available to all browsers.
