Remember the old story about the block where everyones car tires got slashed, then around the corner comes a guy selling tires. I get a message box that eats all my memory and constantly tells me I need to log on to this or that site immeadiately or else. They have detected a severe problem. The only problem is that they have embedded themselves into my life. With a organazation following the size of our little "gang"would it be in any way possible someway to unite and push thugs like this out of buisness ?I wrote this registrycleanerxp.com a nice nasty letter informing them i will die before i download anything from them for money, and that if they don't let me log on to take their crap off my computer that i will cost them $1000's in marketing damage unless. I know this is not going to get me anywhere. But what if I was
part of a large organization.large enough to fear that was known for
protecting eachother.Mabey even had it's own secret "assault" team
for putting fear into hearts of those who don't take warnings.Or at the very least could cause bad PR or marketing damage to any evil doer on the web.

I encountered a similar story when I was looking for free burning software a long while back. I encountered one called BitStorm, and it was free, so I thought "great!". But when I came to read the EULA it said "here's the deal: to use this free burning software, you must allow us to flash popup ads in your browser window every time you open the browser". What is with that? Who the hell (if they're not stupid of course) would use software like that?? It's all just a big scam. As for registry tools, use Registry Mechanic - it's the best I've used. Uniblue Registry Booster is also very good.
