New Spread Firefox Project

If you like keeping up on the latest news and happenings in the world of Mozilla, then you’ll want to check out Spread Firefox’s latest project, Foxiewire

New moderator needed for  Foxiewire

Foxiewire is a news submission site that differs from others because its main focus is on all things Mozilla.

If you see a news story or information about items related to Mozilla and its products, go to Foxiewire and submit it for others to view and vote on, or you can use Foxiewire’s bookmarklet to submit news from anywhere online. It’s a great site to grab fresh Mozilla news to post on your website or blog.

Any Mozilla content is acceptable including Stories and information about Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, Sunbird, and also stories about the people who maintain and develop those products. Basically anything goes as long as its Mozilla related. Foxiewire is going to help in promoting Firefox and Mozilla by becoming a central news portal for others to get news from and spread around the Internet.

Here’s a few good resources where you can get some news stories.
Google Alerts
MozillaZine Weblogs
Mozilla Links
Planet Mozilla
and there are plenty of others, just do a Google search.

It's a great idea to create a single source of Mozilla news but bits seem missing.

For instance, no summary clipping service for journalists to sign up for ie something that would send them little snippets of Moz news on a daily/weekly basis.

Still, it's early days and things need to be developed. I'll keep an eye on my news sources and include stuff across there when I find it

Slowly all the elements are falling into place. Love this site, why the registration? Is it for news-feed people or just ot comment?

You need to register to add new news, and comment, mostly to prevent spamming and other abuse. You can view the articles without registering, though.
