Five hours in Firefox
Hello, I bought another computer two weeks ago for the sole reason of networking my laptop and xbox 360. I have two friends that use Firefox as it were their provider of life. To me Firefox was a web browser for people who wanted to say that Microsoft was unable to produce a better browser than any outside company could do.
I am in love with Microsoft. Well I thought that only two days ago. When my friend purchased a new computer with the anticipated Windows Vista preloaded onto the system I had to go check this out. I love to fiddle with options, I like to be able to do with my computer as I wish. Software as well as hardware. I had a change of heart with Microsoft when I learned that Windows Vista must have digitally assigned hardware to work with its programing.
With the first disapointment that Microsoft had actually brought into my love of their company, ofcourse other than the limited half open connections of service pack 2 for windows, I decided to try firefox out when there was nothing left to do.
Five hours later and 32 plugins enabled later I have turned six people from our life giving IE over to the well balanced, system resource friendly, agile browser that we seven in the small town of Wichita Kansas have come to known as OUR browser. After paying our dues by giving donations to well deserved techs and the ever apreciated man who brought us the utorrent plugin, We are coming here to help spread the word to family, friends, coworkers even my customers.
I work for a cable installation company here in Kansas. Around 60 percent of my customers, on average 3 a day, purchase high speed cable from our wonderful bandwith giving 12mbs by 1mbs data carrier.
As of today, this being my first day back to work since installing firefox and installing more plugins than I have seen for IE without touching the surface of the avalibility of said given wonderfully scripted plugins, I spoke with three high speed data customers and walked them through the steps of enjoying a faster, safer, and forever customizable web browser, these three people will be thanking me for a time to come.
I want to wrap this up as my switch storie.... before i go i would like to say hi to all my fellow firefox followers and im looking forward to this wonderfull adventure that we are going to embark on toghther. The future is bright for us who have grown with the world of super highways and unlimited information infront of us. Its a new time now, a time when surfing the net is a personal thing, when you can be yourself and not be restrained, its time to help others break free from the constraints of a company monopolizing on web browsing, its time for the web to be made for the user and not for the company
gratz to firefox for opening the door to an era of tech in your home and set for you to make it yours. to the many more five hour surfs together.
