Facebook and Campus Reps
on Thu, 02/15/2007 - 20:30Hey guys! I just wanted to give you all an update on what's been
happening lately within the college and university program, in case you haven't
been involved and wanted to learn more.
Momentum is building! As I mentioned in my earlier post, our first 50 campus rep launch parties begin next week. We are building relationships with reps at over 100 schools in the US, Canada, and the UK to coordinate SFX activities in campus open source clubs, computer labs
and at student events. These reps are the face of Mozilla on campus,
coordinating awareness campaigns, contests, etc.
So how did we recruit all of these new community members? Through our Facebook Sponsored Group, where we are currently over 16,000 members strong! Discussion forums will launch soon, and we'll
have even more tools ready to go with the upcoming relaunch of SFX.
