When Firefox is in IE's shoes

Am i the only one that thinks that if firefox gets really popular in the future and has the market share of IE a whole bunch of alternative browsers will rise up saying crap about Firefox, one will get popular, and the cycle repeats?

It's already happening to a certain extent, as there's a vocal subset of Opera users who complain loudly about Firefox.  (Note I said subset.  Not all of them hate Firefox.)  And there are lots of complaints about Firefox's memory usage.

If Firefox really ends up in IE's shoes -- outdated, insecure, and unresponsive -- then it'll be good for other browsers to move in.  It'll either  give users a better choice, or convince Firefox to get back in gear.

I even posted a page about my concerns once.

I'm old enough to remember when MS were the rebels, and IBM-bashing was popular.

Perhaps everyone is a rebel at heart! :)
