Here is my story.
I got this computer since Christmas of 2005 with Windows XP. Yes, it came with IE. When I saw Firefox, i grimaced at it, thinking it wasn't good. I had IE for 3 months, and Windows went down because a virus ate up hal.dll. I had to run recovery, which went successful. Then on the Second try at IE, I heard about Beta 1. I installed it, and had a little fun, but when I wanted to go back(I had taken out the account that installed it in the first place), I couldn't uninstall it. this was a problem. I tried to delete the core file, but it kept coming back! Now it screwed up. I had to find a temporary browser until I could solve the problem. Firefox was my first option. Then it told me about extensions and themes I could install. I tried them out and they were great! Then IE's final carnage came in. I couldn't hear a thing out of my computer! I had to run recovery again, which still went good. Then, looking back, I thought that Firefox was better than IE. I took Firefox again(This time to stay). Then I eventually learned that Firefox IS more secure than IE.
When I went to a malicious site(and I didn't know about it. It was supposed to move your window around.), I thought Firefox couldn't do it, so I used ieTab to switch to IE to render the page, then I had a Bad Script Warning and a Virus Alert from my antivirus, then switched back to Firefox, and nothing happened. Was I thankful for that! That was the moment I LOVED Firefox. I've been using it ever since, and nothing FREAK happened to me.
This is my story, and I'm sticking to it! It may not sound as convincing, but that's the cold, hard truth in my eyes.
