Firefox had me at the logo....

The main reason that I downloaded Firefox was due to the logo. What can I say, I'm an armature/self taught graphic designer, and a sucker for cool graphics. Since switching, I cringe every time I even have to open IE. I run Win98SE on my main computer, and Firefox runs SO much better then the IE6. And I can't even get IE7 to run right on my XP, it keeps freezing.

I do normal computer maintenance on all of my family and friends PCs, and I have installed Firefox and Thunderbird on all of their computers and so far they all love them much better then IE or Outlook.

Well, first and foremost, I'll agree wholeheartedly with you about how much more efficient Firefox is compared to IE. And like you, I have to help out with keeping things running smoothly on other computers, namely, my fiancée's. Nothing major, I'm not particularly technology-minded beyond Photoshop and a few other things (I'm self taught on PS too. The commonalities are adding up here, lol).

Your mentioning the logo being what attracted you initially made me think that you might get a laugh out of this. It's the icon I have on my computer for Firefox at the moment. I saw it, and simply had to have it. .
