I'm a newbie and I love Firefox because of its simplicity it's easy to start with and sophisticated enough to grow with. Thank you all [you know who u r] for a great browser.

Well, security issues are faster fixed than the crappy browser (you know what that is), more customizable, more stable, more faster and IE 6 former users can easily adjust to it.

It's simple, I like that I can customize FF the way I want it. It makes it simple and easy to get to where I want to go on the net, which in my job, I need simple and quick.

1. It's open source and free. ( If I help making it better, I think that all the work I do, is for the whole human kind, no individual company etc. )
2. It doesn't cost anything or come with adds.
3. It is cross platform browser. So using it doesn't tie me to any specific OS. (I use Linux at home, so I wouldn't use any browser that wouldn't work there. )
4. It main goal is supporting the standards, which helps all the web developers, all the browsers and because of that, all the users in the long run. And it also does it propably better than any other browser currently. ( Some browsers are better in some small areas, but I think that the total score goes to Firefox. )
5. It has a very good GUI, because it is so easy to customize.
6. Extensions are easy to make (professional programmer can learn and make a small but complex extension within a week. At least I did. ) And there are a lot of usefull ones already.
7. It has quite many developers and testers, which makes the quality of the releases pretty good, and the development speed is fast also. ( Compare to the speed of the IE for example. Or some smaller open source projects that haven't released anything within years. ). The userbase is also constantly growing, which causes the amount of developers and testers to grow also. Which only makes the development more fast and more better. Commercial companies don't usually have resources like this to use.
8. It is secure. Security holes are patched quicly, and according to unofficial studies, great majority of the users (almost 100%) install upgraded versions within days, which makes it not worth of it to even try to take advantage of the holes. Several security experts also have studied the code, because of it's open source nature and the problems they have found, have been reported and fixed. I have not seen any reports that the security holes in Firefox would have been used in large scale attacks, unlike the holes in IE.
9. It has a good name and a logo. Which makes it cool to show and spread it.

1. Standards compliant (= makes web designers happy)

2. Easy to use / simple interface (unlike IE7)

3. Tons of useful extensions

4. Any security holes that are discovered are patched very quickly

5. Upgraded regularly ("If it ain't broke, and even if it is, don't fix it for 6 years" -Microsoft)
