I used to use IE in the dial-up days and it was so slow. Even with broadband it was terrible. So I got a PC mag and put firefox on. I liked it it told me when i needed plugins and would do a lot of it for me. Also you can more easier extract content eg. swf files from sites. I know get all my brothers to use it and my fiance she uses thunderbird as well as me. I think a mixture of browsers is good when you think of the whole web.

I started using it as far as I can remember it was 0.2 or 0.4.

this was I think back in early 2000, as i was getting sick of IE.

 I have constantly updated it since and only use IE to update Windows and Office.
