flash analogue clock and download counter

Posted by Ernesto Quezada on Fri, 11/24/2006 - 22:35Syndicated Download Counter

it has a little animation to show the number of downloads, has an analogue clock and a link to the download page.

Im not too happy with the rollOver as at the moment nothing happens, I might add sound and replay the number animation as it happens too fast.

Any comments, feedback, ideas, etc, are very wellcomed

Well, as I said before, I worked on a digital clock as well and put both on widgetbox as nowadays is kind of fashion to have web widgets on blogs and other personal pages...

you can see both firefox counter-clocks and some statistics from this link.

I like it, submitted it to StumbleUpon.  :-)  Your blog is good looking too.  I think it's good just like this, without a rollover effect but lets see what cool effect you can think up.  But I agree the counter could go just a little slower, heh heh.

Thanks for your comments edjackiel. You are right, maybe a rollover effect will not look good; I will try something on monday (did it in the office) and change the speed of the counter :P
Cheers!

That's really cool.
How often does it refresh or do you have to do it manually?

Thanks for your replies.

Im affraid it doesn't refresh, although I think it won't be too difficult to re-load the xml again but don't know how often it should be. I remember I read somewhere that the xml provided refreshes every minute.
Is there any other feed that refreshes more often?

cheers!

thanks!
in that case (if now the counter refreshes every 5 minutes...), this flash file on rollOver it will load the XML file again and will show the "number's effect" so the counter will not refresh if the flash file is not rolled over. Is difficult if a person stays for longer than 5 minutes on a page though...

the next one is a digital clock... let's see how it goes :)
