Internet Explorer was never my default browser

While many users switched from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox, that wasn't my case. I never use Internet Explorer as my default browser (except when I just installed Windows on the machine, or when using somebody's else computer).

I started off with Netscape 3.x, followed by Netscape Communicator 4.x and then on the Netscape 6. While I was eagerly awaiting the release of Netscape 7 which would be based on Mozilla 1.0, I tried out Mozilla 0.9.x and had since dumped Netscape in favor of the Mozilla Suite.

However, just a few months before Firefox 1.0 was released, I decided to try out Firefox 0.9 and like it since then and never turn back.

I also installed Firefox Portable on my thumb drive so that I can use Firefox when using somebodys' else computer, without having to force myself to use Internet Explorer.

...and then have them install it on their computer. It's the ultimate win-win... (No pun intended.)

I did that to many of my friends... save for a few stubborn ones... most of them actually use Firefox as their main browser after trying it a few days.
