Slashdotting SFX

I know this is a bad idea, like my "Firefox Pop-up" one, but it is one way to get a lot of publicity. Ever heard of the slashdot effect?

 One main question is if SFX is designed to handle large amounts of requests. If that isn't true, then this idea truly is bad.

Is it really needed?  Because if someone is able to get on Slashdot, there's a very good chance that he/she already has an experience in opensource, Linux, and of course Firefox.
