I have to agree that IE has major problems... always crashing on me. I've heard that Opera has plugin's for downloading youtube movies. I wonder if Firefox has similar? I know IE doesn't *lol

there are multiple add-ons that will allow you to download embeded objects like youtube videos.... GetVideo and UnPlug are just two examples, you can find them on the add-ons section of www.getfirefox.com

I haven't tried it myself, so I can't vouch for it, but it seems like a pretty popular extension with good reviews.  https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/

U can have a youtube video download link!
1) Install Greasemonkey add-on for FireFox
2) Restart FireFox
3) Go to http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/4037
4) Then right click the "download video" link and select "Install this user scipt"

From then on, if u go to any youtube video/google video, etc. u will find a link at the top of the page.

I just recently tried to uninstall the IE7b2 update and the process stalled. Once it was over, my explorer.exe file became corrupted as a result of losing a couple dll files. Everything is good now and it wasn't too bad to fix, but why would something like that happen? I don't like how IE is deeply integrated into Windows.

Use Mac OS or Linux. Internet explorer isn't so deeply integrated into Mac OS, and isn't a part of Linux altogether. I'm stuck with Windows, but Mac will be on my next computer.

Internet explorer isn't so deeply integrated into Mac OS

I don't know when you last checked, but Microsoft discontinued IE for Mac a while ago. And it hasn't been shipping with new Macs for quite a few years...

It was a horrible browser, and had totally different problems and bugs than the Windows version.

When IE 5 for Mac was originally released, it was hailed as a major achievement.  It was arguably better than IE 5 for Windows.  They just abandoned it sooner, letting the Windows version (and, of course, everything else) breeze past it.

Microsoft had a chance to release a new version when Mac OS X came out, but all they did was convert it to an OSX app and remove ActiveX support.

Ha, just kidding. I hacked IE's code to allow it to be able to install on my Linux. It doesn't come pre-installed.

You can use the windows version. Get WINE and startup IE!

Submitted by Kelson on Sun, 12/03/2006 - 07:34.

I occasionally run IE6 through Crossover Office (which is basically a souped-up WINE with installer/config tools and support).  Somewhere I have a screenshot from the IE installation process, with a dialog box that says, "Simulating reboot."

Thanks for switching to Firefox and to stop using Internet Explorer, after all it is a users choice.
