When I was 9...

When I was 9 or so, I thought IE was the best.. Mainly because I didnt think there was another browser.. Soon enough, one day my brother, who is a HUGE FreeBSD user,I have used it myself, but I went back to Windows cause I dont think I was ready for FreeBSD just yet, showed me Firefox, but now he is a big Opera fan,I thought eh.. Ill check it out.. looks pretty cool..Little did I know I was going to go crazy over it! Now,11, I have even told people who know little or nothing about computers to use Mozilla Firefox. I want to make their computers safe, and secure for such an early stage. If they got spyware, half of them wouldnt even know what it is,they would freak out. I now promote Firefox on Message boards. I own a Firefox navy T-Shirt. I have even converted my dad, and I have only heard him say good things about it. He is telling people too!

Percentages of what browsers I use:

Firefox-95%

Opera-4%

Internet Explorer-1%

My family were testing out different browsers (so far we had used IE and a few IE shells) and we discovered Firefox. Since then (Firefox 1.0), we've had absolutely no problems. I use Firefox on my computer with NoScript, AdBlock Plus, IE Tab and Tab Mix Plus (to name but a few) and it just works. Tried Opera once but didn't like it as much.

Firefox - 98%
Other Browsers - 2% (for testing websites I make)

When I was 9, I first accessed the web through Netscape Navigator 1.0 and Internet Explorer didn't exist. :-)

firefox is not necessarily secure and its not supposed to be recommended to people. its a matter of choice that should be left to end users

As long as you don't nag them about 25 hours a day, you're not breaking any laws...

nearly as secure as your bank vault, but when it comes to browsers, this is as good as it gets. So, IT IS supposed to be Highly Recommended to everyone who clicks online.

About Choice, how many people do you think are even aware that they HAVE such a Choice in the First place? If they are made aware of the choices they have, no sensible person would even imagine of using IE again. As a matter of fact, they would laugh their heads off simply thinking of using IE!!

When I was also 9 years old, I thought IE was a good browser and very revolutionary browser, but I question on what happened to Netscape Communicator/Navigator, I am 17 years old now and I when I was 15 I started using Firefox and I haven't switched browsers since!.

When I was nine, a hard drive was carried by truck, not by pocket. Flash drives handle more capacity now!

But anyway, I use FF most of all, but there are some things that IE displays better. I hate to violate some people's religious views here, but we have to be honest. And there's no reason that someone can't have more than one browser, with one as a standby. Besides, IE and Opera are also free downloads.

Freedom of choice. Those of us here prefer FF.

could you give us some examples of things that display better in IE AND validate as well?

http://stormbringer005.angelfire.com/index.html has fixed background, embedded sound, color scrollbars. This is just one example.

Did you tried to validate it's markup first?
You just can't blame Firefox's rendering capabilities because the markup on that site sucks..
In other words, that site IS MADE to work ONLY with IE and NOT with Firefox (or other browsers that respect the W3C standards). That's what we are really fighting for here! It's all about standards,
Check the validation results

PS
I guess you are the creator of that site so i have to make clear that i'm not trying to offend you here, it's just that you have a lot to learn about web authoring.
