problem with large pages

when i open large pages mostly gamefaqs and i sroll down with the bar my computer makes the scrolling sound but my volume is muted i though it was the skin but i tried multiple skins same problem, i don't have this problem with IE.
anyone know what the problem is or has had a simlar problem
