so... its absurd that yahoo would create something that is not compatable with firefox; especially after you think of it this way:

making it not compatable with firefox is in a way supporting ie, which is a microsoft product... yahoo does most of its traffic in search engine and email accounts; a competitor in both of those aspects is microsoft (msn and hotmail)... so why would they outright make a move to only support them?

it doesnt make sense to me.

I thought Yahoo had a pledge to make its services compatible with Firefox, didn't they?  Well that's all for that...

Maybe the question should be: why is Yahoo Launchcast not compatible with firefox?

I used to use launchcast but my copy of IE will crash if its left running for more than about an hour without clicking links. It annoyed me to have to restart browser so I just stopped using it.

Also, double posting/cross posting is not very usefull. And how is this a "licensing issue", isn't that for enquires about firefox's licensce? And how is it an SFX Technical issue either?

I think there might have been some kind of pettion about this. You could always try checking bugzillas tech evangelism project to see if its allready been reported to mozilla (I think it proberly has been but can't be sure)

It's stupid.  Yahoo uses Windows Media Player to display its videos, and it could very easily let Firefox and Mac users view its videos.  They even have Netscape 7.1 support for Windows (but apparently not Netscape 7.2).  Yahoo! is really dumb about not providing Firefox support in this regard.  It would be a very simple fix -- just don't block people from viewing your content or be overly specific about browser requirements.

Isn't it funny how it seems we get these complaints only when it involves Firefox being blocked from accessing resources?  Peculiar.

This website is about Firefox, so this is the natural place to make such a complaint if it concerns Firefox.

Opera users for example also have a forum where they would complain about sites that don't work well with Opera.

It seems daft to me, why would a gynormous company like "Yahoo!" set out to make their stuff compatible with only one browser?! I run comparitvly small websites, (we don't have the population of the planet visit them 20 times a day lol) and they are compatible with everything, though we push Firefox *alot* (obviously, I meen, why wouldn't you?)
