Complete noob here, 2 issues, one with button other with forum.

Hi :-)

Complete noob here, I seem to have 2 probs and I'm probably posting in the wrong section about them, but oh well here goes,

firstly, when I try and read the forums, the information overlaps the big green 100mil dls banner on the right here, so I cant read the info, is this a setting of mine? or yours?

Secondly, I'm a complete website noob, I am building one at the moment, of course I'm cheating with dreamweaver as I haven't the foggiest about html n' all that. I tried to put a button on because I want to spread the firefox word, but at the risk of sounding really silly, all i get up is a list of words n' stuff, so could someone pls explain in plain english (no technical words pls or my brain just sizzles n' goes pop) how to put a firefox  button on my website using dreamweaver.

Cheers

For the dreamweaver thing, you are probably cutting and pasting the
code into the display view, instead of the code view. What you want to
do is:

1. Get the code for a FF button.  You can find some at ?q=affiliates/homepage. Copy the code.

2.
In Dreamweaver, click on the spot where you want to insert the button,
then switch into Code view (there's a button in the top left, IIRC, or
just use the View menu)

3. Paste. Switch back to Design view.

That's it!

While I’m not an expert on either of your issues, I can tell you that your first problem with the way that the text is shown is a site problem (bug) and that the System Administrators are aware of it. This site is getting totally redone so make sure you stick around to see the changes.
As for the second problem, I’m clueless but I know that there are other members here who may help you with that and I’ll contact one for you, just keep checking this post. Don’t worry, we’ll get your site setup with a Firefox site sticker (promo). :)

Cheers for that  :-)

no worries about me sticking around! I want to see what other gems firefox has in store :-)

I'm glad someone else is clueless ;-) makes me feel better hehe
