Help with making throbber work with BBC Code markup

My forum uses BBC Code. I tried inserting the following in my forum signature for a linked button:

[url=http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=user/register&r=129925][img]http://sfx-images.mozilla.org/affiliates/Buttons/110x32/trust.gif"/>

That format worked with the Stumble Upon button but the above only show the code not the throbber. What's wrong with it?

SFX buttons for BBC code

I'm having similar issues. I want to post these buttons in my forum signature for several of the forums I participate in. They use BBC code and I'm not having any luck finding buttons in that format. Help, please?
