Make users adress searchable

I'd love to see a function to find sfx-users in my local area.

You can enter city, area, zip, country etc in your profile. Why not bring people together which live in the same neighbourhood?
So they can plan and make local sfx-events.

This could be by making this fully searchable or (better) automaticly "buddy-up" users from the same city.

Of course there has to be a opt-in to make this private data available.

Just my idea to strengthen the community.

I just found my first post on sfx ;-) (Thanks for the new tracking feature.)

Just wanted to add that I still like my idea (see above) but we also have Frappr now to find Firefox fans in our neighbourhood. But maybe you all meet them last week at the Fx2-release parties anyways?

That's actually a great idea.
I'm a member of deviantART.com, and you can enter your latitude and longitude and then, you'll see all of the other members who are close to you.
So it can be done.
