Where does the casual visitor get it?

I've got Firefox and Thunderbird installed on multiple computers: office laptop, home Mac, wife's PC, etc. I'll often update those copies before the auto update feature notices their availability. On several occasions, being too lazy to type, I've used the Promote Firefox menu selection to get to SFX, thinking I would there find a quick link to actually download Firefox. No such luck.

Suppose I'm a new Firefox user, having gotten a copy from a friend say, and I want to show my other friends how they too can get a copy. How can I, an enthusiastic but somewhat clueless computer user, most easily help my other friends to get on board?

Don't you think it would be a good idea to have an actual link, somewhat prominently apparent, to where someone might actually get Firefox from the SFX main page? Instead this website that many new users might visit as a result of that Promote Firefox menu selection seems from its home page to be primarily about promoting Firefox users or getting Promote Firefox badges on other websites.

What's the real goal of this site? How about at least a Get it Now! link right up there with Spread Firefox! (beta)?

sfx.com is not the primary site where new users would go to get a copy of Firefox.
The goal of this site is to organize the marketing efforts of the Firefox community. Indeed it is partly about getting Promote Firefox badges on other websites.
See Blake's and Asa's post on the front page.
Therefore, as the people visiting this site are supposed to use Firefox already (how else could they spread it?), a "Get Firefox" link would be rather useless.

If a new user wants to get Firefox, his target should be getfirefox.com, or a simple google search for "Firefox", or following a sfx.com affiliate link (which redirects to getfirefox.com) or something similar.
