Need help converting my university IT dept.

Quoting from an e-mail from my IT dept.:
"We are currently looking into adding other browsers onto the lab computers during our next imaging. If you could name a few advantages of using firefox that would be helpful to our discussion."

I need the strongest, most succinct reasons. I want technical reasons (security as compared to IE, standards compliance, etc.), user-friendliness reasons (probably the most important- must be near idiot proof and easily usable by the masses), perhap power-user reasons, etc. Any reasons that distinguish Firefox and make it a must have. Just being good isn't going to get it on the computers. I have a preliminary list, but I would really like all the help I can get, I don't want to miss anything, because that might be the difference between acceptance and rejection.
